Essential Personnel is seeking a dependable, detail-oriented candidate to fill an Overhead Crane Operator position in Grand Island. Candidates should have previous overhead crane or material handling experience, with a strong knowledge of rigging practices preferred. An ideal candidate should have a keen eye for detail, be able to work independently, and maintain a strong commitment to workplace safety.
Ability to safely operate lifting equipment and understand load capacities
Knowledge of rigging practices and material handling procedures (experience preferred)
Ability to read and interpret work orders and production documentation
Strong attention to detail and ability to thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
Safely operate overhead cranes to lift, move, and position materials throughout the facility
Load and unload materials from trucks, racks, and production areas
Stage and transport materials to support production schedules and workflow
Inspect incoming materials for damage and verify quantities against work orders
Perform routine equipment checks, follow proper rigging techniques, and report safety concerns
Assist with inventory control, material tracking, and maintaining an organized workspace
