General Machinist Requirements:
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Strong attention to detail and alertness for quality and safety
Self-motivated and dependable with a passion for hands-on work
Clear communicator with strong teamwork skills
Capable of making sound judgments and problem-solving in real time
Physically able to perform tasks including standing, walking, lifting, reaching, and repetitive motions
General Machinist Responsibilities:
Overseeing day-to-day operations in the machine shop
Monitoring equipment usage and identifying opportunities for process improvement
Operating various machines to produce high-quality parts to exact specifications
Ensuring all jobs are completed accurately and on time
Maintaining a clean, safe, and efficient work environment
