Essential Personnel is currently seeking an experienced Quality Control Lead responsible for overseeing and ensuring compliance with all food safety and quality standards within a production facility. This role plays a critical part in maintaining adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Safe Quality Food (SQF), and Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Ensure compliance with GMP, SQF, and HACCP food safety programs
Monitor and enforce all food safety and quality procedures throughout the plant
Assist with product testing, inspections, and documentation
Support shipping and receiving quality checks
Provide supervision and guidance to team members as needed
Identify and report quality or food safety concerns promptly
Maintain accurate quality records and support audits and inspections
Provide leadership coverage when the QC Supervisor is out of town
Qualifications
Previous experience in food production quality control preferred
Working knowledge of GMP, SQF, and HACCP standards
Strong attention to detail and ability to enforce food safety practices
Good communication and leadership skills
Ability to work flexible hours based on operational needs
