Essential Personnel is seeking a knowledgeable and enthusiastic candidate to fill a Service Manager position in Des Moines, IA. 1st shift position with some on call responsibilities at times.

As a PLC Technician Manager you will gain knowledge of the facility, lead a team of 2-3 people, work with clients, handle tasks through completion and look for ways to improve the process and personal performance. Managers are expected to perform a variety of jobs, tasks and duties.  

Requirements for Manager:

• Able to work independently

• Maintain, monitor and adjust equipment as necessary

• PLC Programming knowledge

• Variable frequency drive (VFD) programming knowledge

• Basic math skills

• Vibration analysis

• NFPA codes

Responsibilities for Manager:

• Perform quality checks

• Training and hiring of new employees

• Taking calls from customers and service technicians

• Assist with troubleshooting

• Understanding low voltage circuits, including relay logic and motor controls

• Knowledge of three phase motor operations and wiring

• Monitor margins on service calls

• Create invoices/quotes
