Join our laboratory team as a Sensory Lab Technician where you will conduct wet chemistry tests, perform sensory evaluations of starches and syrups, and document results. We are looking for a detail-oriented individual with a passion for food science. No experience necessary!
Requirements for Sensory Lab Technician:
Strong attention to detail and accurate documentation skills
Ability to conduct sensory evaluations, including taste tests, in a controlled environment
Excellent organizational skills
Strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset
Responsibilities for Sensory Lab Technician:
Conduct wet chemistry tests on starches and syrups to assess quality and consistency
Perform sensory evaluations (taste testing) to assess product characteristics
Record and document test results accurately
Follow established laboratory procedures and safety protocols
Analyze test data and report findings for product improvement

Being a cat mom isn’t the only responsibility of Jessica Slama’s. Jessica joined Essential Personnel in 2014 and is responsible for managing our branches. As a child, Jessica wanted to be an Engineer, now she engineers people’s careers by helping place them into positions and companies where they can build a career. When asked, what childhood lesson has set her up for success she says, “My dad shaped my work ethic into what it is today by teaching me from a young age about accountability and why it’s so important in our daily lives”. We also discovered she gets her excitable personality from her mother. Outside of the office, Jessica is busy building an at home library, going on adventures with her husband Ian, and spoiling their cat Paisley.
