Love working with your hands and learning new skills? Essential Personnel is hiring a Shop Technician in the Ainsworth, NE area. This full-time position is a great opportunity to work in a manufacturing environment building livestock handling equipment. No previous experience is required our client is willing to train dependable individuals with a strong work ethic and positive attitude.
Shop Technician Responsibilities:
Assist with the fabrication and assembly of livestock handling equipment
Operate shop equipment including grinders, drill presses, band saws, hydraulic hose machines, and other power tools
Perform welding and metal preparation tasks as needed
Safely move materials using forklifts and overhead cranes
Perform minor equipment repairs and quality inspections
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
Support production and manufacturing duties as assigned
Shop Technician Requirements:
Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn
Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physical work
Manufacturing, welding, or production experience is a plus, but not required
Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team
Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
Dependable, motivated, and reliable attendance
